Cutthroats bats go quiet, lose to Toros 1-0

Chris Tate allowed just one run on Wednesday, but the Casper Cutthroats couldn’t get the offense going in a 1-0 defeat to the Northern Colorado Toros.

Chris Tate baffled the Toros, striking out eight batters. Chris Tate allowed one earned run on eight hits and one walk over seven innings.

Danny Westerberg got the win for Northern Colorado. He tossed 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball and struck out two, walked four and gave up three hits.

Chris Tate ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss.
